Competition Rules U10s
First team named is home team, they must make contact with the travelling team as early as possible but no later than 2 days before the scheduled date.
Each team will play one match per night, of 40 mins duration (20 min per half). To ensure all players get game time both teams could agree that games could be played in quarters (10min per qtr). All games will be played in the spirit of the Go Games policy and very importantly under the Go Games rules.
Please note that within the playing rules the ball can only be hopped once on the Hurley , NO soloing permitted. No kicking the ball, host clubs please ensure your players and your referee know this before each game .
Whilst we would like to see games played on the above dates, games can be played on or before the date by agreement of both teams for the alternative date. It is essential that slippage into subsequent weeks does not appear. As per the agreement with Ladies Football fixtures should not take place Tuesdays,Thursdays or Saturdays.
Teams will be 10 a side ( min of 9 per team, other team must match ) pitch and goals suitable for u10s. Team sheets should be submitted. Where clubs have more than 1 team please keep each team even to ensure fair play.
Who won/drew/lost (rather than a scoreline) in a game will be reported into your group coordinator after each game. This will allow us to group the teams accordingly for the finals day. The finals day will be run in a blitz format with no actual finals or cups/shields. Scoring difference is unimportant and, indeed, every effort should be made to ensure that games are competitive and are not one sided NO HAMMERINGS. Each mentor to send in result of each of their games to their group coordinator within 48hrs to ensure accuracy.
For our young referees please use older girls for the older groups i.e u10 & especially U12s. For the welfare of these young referees could clubs please enaure their Children’s Officers or someone else responsible is present to watch over these girls in way of support.
Silent sidelines should be encouraged and under no circumstances should adults argue/complain or dispute any decisions of referees, particularly young referees; good example should be shown to the girls at all times. It is important that everyone enjoys the games.
