Club Volunteer of the Year 2012

This years winner of the Joan O’Flynn Volunteer of the year award has been awarded to Fiona Farrell. The Kildare club volunteers received their awards at the Presentation Night in Clane on Saturday 17th November. Once again there are a brilliant list of nominees, the winner is a reflection of the wonderful work these people do at club level.

Congratulations to all nominees.

Moorefield’s Winner Stuart Conaty

Stuart Conaty joined Moorefield camogie club in 2009 as senior manager. This was a particularly difficult time in the club’s history with falling numbers and an uncertain future. Through his hard work, dedication and commitment he has revived a new interest in camogie within the club. Over the past 3 years the junior team have played in several league and championship finals. He guided the Junior team to 3 successive championship finals, winning Junior B in 2011. He has also managed the minor and under 21 team over the past 3 years and won the Minor and Under 21 championship in 2010. Stuart is also an active member of the camogie county board. His example and leadership has been inspirational to us all.
